Measurement: The fabric width is 1” narrower than the total roller width due to the brackets at both ends. For an inside mount, the window frame should have at least a 2” depth, and our window roller shade will have a small light gap on each side. To avoid the light gap, consider an outside mount. For an outside mount, the shade should be 4” - 6” wider than the window frame, and the shade length should be at least 2” longer than the window length for better coverage.
